چکیده
Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) are bacterial polyesters that have been described as one of the most promising sustainable alternatives to petroleum-based plastics. A major challenge for PHA become market-competitive, is decrease associated production costs. According several studies, about 20–50% total costs attributed raw materials and therefore, use different types organic residues evaluated substrates microorganisms. In this study, strain Bacillus cereus ATCC 14579 was cultivated in shake flasks using a defined medium pretreated grape peel sole carbon source. The pretreatment peels performed by hydrolysis step with diluted sulfuric acid yielding up 52.9% (w/w) sugars from dry residue. PHB extraction wet biomass showing 3.7-higher yields when latter. accumulation 18.79% (w/w), corresponding 0.53 gPHB/L, achieved hydrolyzate at 72 h cultivation. Eventually, possibility producing non-treated lignocellulosic (LCB) high contents fermentable presented an interesting alternative be optimized projected bioplastic processes.

Biosynthesis of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) by Cupriavidus necator H16 from jatropha oil as carbon source.
Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) is a biodegradable polymer that can be synthesized through bacterial fermentation. In this study, Cupriavidus necator H16 is used to synthesize PHB by using Jatropha oil as its sole carbon source. Different variables mainly jatropha oil and urea concentrations, and agitation rate were investigated to determine the optimum condition for microbial fermentation in bat...

in order to reduce the costs associated with poly-β-hydroxybutyrate production, growth and poly-β-hydroxybutyrate production of ralstonia eutropha were studied in batch culture on different carbon sources. experiments were designed and conducted to not only lower the cost of poly-β-hydroxybutyrate production by using inexpensive substrates, but also to increase poly-β-hydroxybutyrate production...

متن کاملSynthesis of Diblock copolymer poly-3-hydroxybutyrate -block-poly-3-hydroxyhexanoate [PHB-b-PHHx] by a β-oxidation weakened Pseudomonas putida KT2442
BACKGROUND Block polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) were reported to be resistant against polymer aging that negatively affects polymer properties. Recently, more and more attempts have been directed to make PHA block copolymers. Diblock copolymers PHB-b-PHHx consisting of poly-3-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) block covalently bonded with poly-3-hydroxyhexanoate (PHHx) block were for the first time produced su...
